The van's route began in Wolverhampton, at the location where Ronan lost his life. Additionally, a new amnesty bin dedicated to Ronan has been installed on Coalway Road in Wolverhampton to encourage safe surrender of these weapons.<\/p><p>This amnesty is part of the national surrender scheme ahead of <strong>the government\u2019s ban on ninja swords, which comes into effect on 1 August 2025<\/strong>. From that date, it will be illegal to possess, manufacture, import, or sell ninja swords anywhere in the UK.<\/p><p>The amnesty offers a safe and anonymous way for people to hand in ninja swords without fear of prosecution.
